Friends of Oakley Creek

Ngā Ringa o Te Auaunga, Friends of Oakley Creek, has been dedicated to protecting and restoring the ecological health of central Auckland’s longest stream and its surrounding environment since 2004.
We coordinate a variety of hands-on conservation efforts, engaging volunteers from the local community, educational institutions, and other community organizations.
Our core activities include native plant propagation, tree planting, weed control, monitoring of native and pest fauna, animal pest control, water quality monitoring, and community outreach and advocacy.
